June 16-20 Under The Big Top/Circus Spectacular
This will be an amazing week for dancers of all levels. We will work on our flexibility, technique, musicality, and truly putting feelings and emotions into our movements. With our circus theme we will use a variety of music from Dumbo to The Greatest Showman. Genres included will be Ballet, Lyrical, Musical Theater, and Jazz.
June 23-27 Time Travelers/Adventures Around the World- 9:00-3:00
This week we will start from the stone age and go into the future. Dancers will learn various dance styles from the different eras, such as a ballet waltz, Charleston, folk, character and up beat futuristic dance possibilities. They will be encouraged to create their own dances, inspired by the themes and time periods they explore and use dance to tell stories about the time periods and cultures they are exploring. We will be blending dance, art, history, and travel in a creative and engaging way.
July 7-11 Everything Oz/ Defying Gravity
Step into the magic of Oz and let your dance dreams take flight. Young dancers will explore the World of Oz through creative movement, exciting choreography, and imaginative classes inspired by the Wizard of Oz and Wicked. Dancers ages 8-12, will be twirling, tapping, and leaping like you’re soaring above the Emerald City. Dancers will train in ballet, tap, production jazz, lyrical, and more. They will build their technique while they explore the spellbinding world of musical theater.
July 14-18 Broadway Bonanza and Hollywood Glamour
In addition to the basics, this week will focus on leaps, turns, high kicks as well as flexibility and technique. Will work on skills needed to perform from Broadway to Hollywood. Genres included are Musical Theater, Ballet Technique, Commercial Jazz, Acting, and audition process. By the end of the week you are the star and will get to perform in our wonderful production.
