Meet the Instructors
Russian Ballet Instructor
Dmitri Roudnev trained for eight years at the renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia, and later danced as soloist with the Bolshoi Ballet under the direction of the great U.N. Grigorovich.
Dmitri Roudnev served as the director of the Dmitri Roudnev Ballet School of Chicago for six years. He has also produced 15 volumes of Ballet class music CD and videos DVD, sold worldwide. He developed a special ballet training program for the Russian figure skating couple Maxim Marinin and Tatiana Totmianina that won gold medals in the 2006 Olympics.

Jazz and Contemporary Instructor
Sarah has performed with professional dance companies from Texas, Missouri, and New York. Sarah has worked with choreographers such as Jennifer Archibald, Amanda Selwyn, Derek Mitchell, Ashle Dawson, Ashley L. Tate, Jennifer Medina, Katelyn Halpern, and Ashley McQueen.
Sarah has presented her own work in Texas, Missouri, as well as at The
Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn, NY. Sarah holds a BA in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio during which time she also began her classical training with Catalina Garza, Ernesto Quenedit and Esther Mayer of The Cuban National and Royal Ballet, respectively.
Sarah is a founding member of the San Antonio Dance Fringe, and continues to teach technical and leadership workshops across the United States through MA Dance, for whom she also adjudicates regional and national dance competitions.
Performance & Attire
*On the performance day, parents may observe ballet tech. classes and a demonstration performance.
*Students should use everyday makeup for the performance (light application of blush, mascara, lipstick only) and hair must be neatly slicked back in semi-high secure bun, with no or minimal bangs.
No video taping allowed during performance or class. No exception. No flash photography during performance or class; photography without flash is acceptable.
